Needless to say, we're a pretty big football family, but this year we decided to let the twins play fall baseball instead of football. Last fall David got a concussion in his room playing tackle football (with no pads or helmet) in his room with Joshua! (no, not on a field, in his bedroom!!) Then after waiting the 2 weeks to go back on the actual football field with his team, he suffered another concussion on the football field, which, obviously, finished him off for the season last year. As much as these guys love football, we've got to protect that brain...and, especially, at such a young age. So this year we decided to give him (and Joshua) at least a year off of football and do something different. These two love any sport out there, but they haven't done much baseball other than in the backyard. They did play Upward baseball one year (maybe two?) when they were little guys a few years ago, but otherwise that's it. This fall ball league was the perfect choice for them, because there were a few kids from their new school on the team and the coach is a GCA dad. They have jumped right in there and loved playing, and have really done an awesome job! I haven't gotten the best pictures, but at least here are a few shots of them out there! More to come!
